Your wedding checklist, built around your date
Enter your wedding date. Get real dates and your next three priorities.
The checklist needs JavaScript to put dates on it. The planning order is explained below.
How your checklist is dated
Each task has a suggested number of days before the wedding: about a year for the budget and guest count, eleven months for the venue, ten weeks for sending invitations, two weeks for final numbers. Your date turns those into real dates.
What you have booked is ticked off. Tasks that depend on something else never land before it: the invitations wait for the venue and the guest list, the seating plan waits for the replies.
Example. For a wedding on 26 September 2027, planned from 26 September 2026, the venue is suggested for 31 October 2026, invitations go out on 18 July 2027 and the final headcount check is on 12 September 2027.
A 6 month or 3 month checklist
With less time, the tasks whose dates have passed are not dropped. They are spread from today, up to three a day, with the things that unblock the most coming first: the venue and catering before flowers. If there are more tasks than days, the rest are grouped under Needs immediate review, so you can decide what still matters rather than being told it all fits.
Within a week of the wedding you can hide the optional tasks and keep only the essentials.
Destination weddings
Guests need more time to book travel and rooms. Choosing a destination wedding moves the guest list, contact details, save-the-dates, room information and invitations earlier. Check your venue's own deadlines too.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. The whole checklist, ticking things off, changing dates, printing and the calendar file are free, with no account and no email.
Where is my checklist saved?
On this browser only. Nothing you enter is sent to us. Use Clear saved data to remove it, or print it to keep a copy.
Are these real deadlines?
They are suggested dates that give each thing a sensible amount of time. Supplier contracts, your venue and any legal paperwork set the real deadlines, so check those and change a date whenever you know better.
Why is there no guest count?
It does not change when things need doing, so the checklist does not ask. The budget breakdown and the guest list template use it.
